Here's an easy, stylish way to have a jiffy quilt.

This is a 3-hour or Retreat workshop.

Select quality fabrics which are 42" - 44" wide.

Select one of Jackie's Split Stripes, as shown - OR - choose to make half square triangles. Mine is a 58" x 58".

YARDAGE:

Red 1 - lightest – (1/8 yd)
Red 2 - medium –(1/8 yd)
Red 3 - darkest –(5/8 yd)
Red 4 - binding –(1/2 yd)

Cream 1 - outer parts – (1 yd)
Cream 2 center – (1/3 yd)

Split Stripe - (3 yds)
OR
Two fabrics for Triangle Units – (1/2 yd of EACH)
Border – (1 yd if cross cut - 1-3/4 yds for lengthwise cut)

Before class, please pre-cut the following ACCURATELY across the 42" width:

 

Red 1 - Cut (1) 3-1/2” strip into:
          (4) 3-1/2” x 6-1/2”

Red 2 - Cut (1) 3-1/2” strip into:
          (4) 3-1/2” x 6-1/2”

Red 3 - Cut (5) 3-1/2” strips into:
          (8) 3-1/2” x 9-1/2”
          (16) 3-1/2” x 6-1/2”
          (4) 3-1/2” squares

Cream 1 - Cut (2) 12-1/2” strips into:
          (4) 12-1/2” squares
          (4) 3-1/2” x 12-1/2”
Cut (2) 3-1/2” strips into:
          (4) 3-1/2” x 18-1/2”

Cream 2 - Cut (3) 3-1/2” strips into:
          (12) 3-1/2” x 6-1/2”
          (12) 3-1/2” squares

Bring the remainder of your fabric to class - including the Split Stripe OR 2 fabrics for Triangles.

Also Bring to class:
          A GOOD Sewing Machine with foot control and power cord
* NOTE: Sewing Machines are sometimes provided at 'Events'
          Presser foot for achieving a scant 1/4" seam
          Rotary cutter
          Rotary cutting mat
          Rotary cutting ruler - 6" x 24" - with 45-degree line on it
          Small Square ruler - 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" - or larger
          Angler - for sewing diagonal
          Scissors
          Neutral colored thread
          Pins
          Cushion to sit on
          Small trash bag .
