Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) is the latest advancement in diabetes management, and we’re on top of it.
Animas® Corporation and Dexcom™, Inc. have a joint development agreement to integrate Dexcom’s CGM technology into our insulin pumps. You can get the Dexcom Seven™ system as a standalone system right now.
A continuous glucose monitor is a device that measures glucose levels throughout the day, including while you're sleeping. The monitor can provide up to 288 glucose measurements every 24 hours, meaning you're getting a much better idea of how your body's doing – at regular intervals, hour by hour.
Compared to a traditional glucose meter test, which is a snapshot in time, CGM is a way to see what’s happening between individual glucose meter tests—that way, you can observe levels and patterns that may not have been detected before.
