Happy Campers Slide Show

Each Spring, quilters gather from all over our Country (and Canada) to celebrate the joys of quiltmaking in Jackie's Retreats.

The photo above is the pre-quilted of the Feathered Star. It is a square -- larger than my camera could back up. The projects for '08 will be posted by Jan 1, 2008. There will be a traditiional quilt -- this time the Feathered Star in a marvelous medallion format, Stars in the Cabins which is a log cabin variatiion, and a mystery. We always have a 'surprise' project separate from the mystery - provided in kit format. I'll NEVER post the photos of the Mystery or the Surprise -- that would spoil the Surprise and the Mystery! ;-)

Supply lists for this year will soon begin appearing as links at the bottom of this page. Once they are ALL in place, I'll send a note to all registered retreaters.

Our sewing space is generous. Food is delicious. Sleeping rooms are lovely. Depending on which venue you choose, NM is 2 to a room and MT is 4 to a room. Each lady has her own bed.

One price includes 3 nights lodging, SIX meals (large breakfast and supper), and the ENTIRE QUILTING EXPERIENCE with Jackie Robinson. All for only $ 375. Should you need to cancel before 2/28/08, $90. of your deposited $100. registration fee will be refunded. After 2/28/08, refunds are given IF your reserved space can be filled, less $10.

SO - here's the inside scoop. To secure your place in Jackie's Quilt Retreat '08, send your $375. payment check to Jackie Robinson.

The projects are always fun and selected for variety. Good quilts! - even if I do say so myself! It's truly time for a log cabin 'review'. Actually, I'm amazed how many quilters have never made a log cabin. It's an important part of our Quilt Heritage. The Faux Feathered Medallion Is simply 'fluff' for the weekend. It's incredibly fast, and a good late night type of project. Supply lists are posted below, along with some photos of the projects to make your fabric selections easier. As always, a Surprise quilt which you'll receive in Kit form (different from the mystery).

We begin at 5:00 pm with supper and continue until 3 pm on the final day. After an opening show & tell, projects are presented. Some gals seem to like to stitch into the wee hours, and I'll certainly keep them busy. There will be 5 projects this year, and the projects are planned to show various techniques. Always a surprise, as well. Some quilters start everything - some select to only do a couple of quilts. While there's lots presented, we are pressure-free. Everyone has the option to work at her own pace. And, of course, this is a group of quilters so the company is superb! We fill to 48 women participants. Quilters will join us from all over the Country - and local, too.

Please mail your reservation check for $375. to Jackie Robinson, 830 Douglas Hill Road, Eureka, MT 59917. The best way to reach me is with email. info@animas.com
